The 11C Broom is Cleveland’s lower-priced entry into broomstick putting. It combines a 470-gram, face-balanced mallet head with a center shaft, split grip and 46- or 48-inch shaft.

What the SOFT face milling is designed to do
Cleveland’s Speed Optimized Face Technology uses denser milling near the center and expands the groove pattern toward the heel and toe. The manufacturer’s goal is to balance energy transfer across the face so off-center impacts finish closer to the intended distance.
That does not make every mishit identical. Face angle, strike location, speed and green conditions still control the result. The useful promise is narrower ball-speed variation—not automatic distance control.
Why the broomstick format changes the stroke
Potential benefit
The long shaft and split grip encourage more shoulder and torso involvement and less hand action. Some golfers find that easier to repeat under pressure.
Potential drawback
Distance control and setup can feel unfamiliar. The lie angle and hand positions also require enough practice that a short in-store trial may not be conclusive.
Is a broomstick putter legal?
Yes, a conforming long putter can be used. Rule 10.1b prohibits anchoring the club or a gripping hand directly against the body and also prohibits creating an indirect anchor point with a forearm. The club may merely touch clothing or the body without being held there. Always check the competition’s rules and your actual technique.
