How to Choose a Magnetic Golf Towel (And Which Size to Buy)
Buy the towel that matches how you carry the bag. The Stubby (16×24) suits walkers, stand bags and push carts — less fabric swinging, faster to grab. The 40 (16×40) suits cart golf, where you want more dry surface across 18 holes. Both use a sewn-in magnet, so there is no separate part to lose. Most magnetic golf towels are sold on one number: magnet strength. That number is close to meaningless on its own. A towel comes off the cart because of geometry, vibration and the material it is stuck to — not because the magnet was 2 lb weaker than a competitor's.

Why magnetic towels fall off
Geometry mismatch
A flat magnet balanced on a round cart rail touches at a fraction of its face. Contact area, not magnet grade, is doing the work.
Shear from vibration
Cart travel pushes the towel sideways, not straight out. A magnet rated for pull can still slide off under sustained shear.
Non-ferrous frames
Aluminium is not magnetic. Plenty of modern carts and bags give a magnet nothing to hold.
What to actually check before you buy
- Is the magnet sewn in or removable? A removable magnet is one more part to leave in the laundry. Magna-Anchor™ towels use an N52 neodymium magnet sewn into the towel beneath a round silicone patch.
- Is there a real docking surface? Clubheads and steel frames work. If your bag has none, a steel-core pad solves it permanently.

Do you need the Landing Pad?
Not everyone does. If your cart frame or a clubhead already gives you a flat, repeatable steel target, a towel alone is fine. If your bag has no usable metal where your hand reaches, the Landing Pad fixes that permanently.
It has a steel core and is not magnetic by itself. It slides over the bag lip between dividers and fits stand, cart and tour bags. The towel supplies the magnet; the pad supplies the target.

- Machine wash cold on gentle
- Skip fabric softener — it coats microfiber and kills absorbency
- Air dry or tumble dry low; avoid high heat near the silicone housing
- Rinse heavy mud before washing so grit does not circulate
